Our Home Kikinaw
Our Home Kikinaw is a project of the TNRC that will assist low income families in achieving homeownership by providing them with the opportunity to purchase a no-profit home. The project is structured in accordance with Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg´s policies and procedures, and aside from completing one house build by 2010, the ultimate goal of the project is to become an Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg.
Our Home Kikinaw is an:
- Opportunity to assist low-income families in homeownership.
- Opportunity to empower people and build community pride.
- Opportunity to build partnerships within the community, the province and the federal government.
Objectives:
- Work in partnership with low-income working families, sponsors and communities to build and renovate safe, decent and affordable housing.
- Mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
